My Bar Mitzvah Party

The Bar and Bat Mitzvah marketplace is a very unique one. When I meet with the families, sometimes the parents do most of the talking and other times the kids do most of the talking. Sometimes, that same 13 year is a very mature child and other times, well mature wouldn't be the 1st word that I think of.

Anyway, I just came back from a Bar Mitzvah meeting and the Bar Mitzvah Boy had a typed out list of questions for me. I thought that this list was awesome and it was actually the first time in 15 years that a Bar Mitzvah boy had ever given me such a list. I asked his permission to share this on my blog and he said he had no problem with it. So here is his list entitled "My Bar Mitzvah Party".
1. Will you play the music of my choice?
2. Will you play all genres of music?
3. Will you play slow songs?
4. Will you play games?
5. If so, what games?
6. Will you have dancers?
7. If so. how many?
8. Will you have hand outs such as blow-ups, light up objects, etc.?
9. Will you have music playing while people are eating?
10. Will you play music videos if I choose?
11. Will you have colorful lights showing?
12. Will you try to make my Bar Mitzvah party the best it can be?

This list was awesome. My answer was "I will do whatever you want. It is your party. However, I will do everything from 1-11 and I was always keep number 12 as the backbone behind it all."

Just thought I would share that.
